Why Do We Use Goats?
We use goats to help provide a quality backcountry experience. Goats are the perfect pack animal. They have a very low impact on the environment. Goats eat like deer... they browse taking a little here and a little there. They are relatively small, agile, and work well in an alpine environments. Many people compare them to dogs in that they are easy to train, willing to work, and happy to just follow along. The goats will be used to carry food, cooking suplies, and safety equipment. Goats are well trained and very well behaved.
